How do I get a Avatar pic for my profile?

Howdy folks!

Can anyone help me on the technical process of choosing and applying an Avatar picture for my Crow Bird profile or persona? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While logged in, click Profile up top, then click on the avatar sub tab.

I clicked my name up top to get to my profile, but I don't see anything labeled "avatar sub tab", or maybe I don't know what it looks like, or what it is..

The Gallery was pretty extensive, but are there any other galleries out there that would be compatible and would work with this board, and if so, how would you use it? So far I have spent a few hours going through Avatar websites. There was this one website with unlimited Avatars that had page after page of too flashy, fleshy, sadistic, out right weird.

I think I have found one other crow Avatar I might want to try. It's the one called "Nevermore" at:

I guess I'm pretty picky. I'm looking for something classical, tasteful and elegant. Hard to find.

I'm curious though, where did you get your Avatar? The girl looks like she is siting on the ramp of her ship. Is that from a TV series or movie? Thanks again for your help.

Easiest way to get more customization on your avatar is to upload a picture of your choice to a site like photobucket, and use the link from there.

The photo of me on the ramp of a ship was taken by the Res Publica press corp, although I have been told that I bear a striking resemblence to someone by the name of Starbuck from something called Battlestar Galactica, whatever that might be:)
